Jean Catari was born in May 1927 in the small town of Pois in the French province. He began his veterinary career working with horses and cattle. Over the years, he came to believe that food could affect the health of animals. In 1968, he produced "Yellow Soup" for dogs, and this year the brand name ROYAL CANIN® has been registered.
