Royal Canin is one of the most popular brands of dog food
Jean Cathary was born in May 1927 in the small town of Puy-en-Villais, France. He started his veterinary practice by working with horses and cows. Over the years, he came to believe that food can affect the health of animals. In 1968, he produced "yellow soup" for dogs, and in this year the trademark ROYAL CANIN® was registered.
When Dr. Jane was doing research in the village of Gard, France, he realized that most of the animal diseases, including skin and kidney diseases, were due to the improper diets of these animals. At the same time, the idea of establishing a brand that prevents animal diseases with a complete and proper diet flashed in his mind.
Royal Canin launched its first breed-specific dog food in 2002. Mini Yorkshire Terrier (Mini Yorkshire Terrier YPR 28) offers this food according to the specific physical and health needs of the breed.
